Hi I'm Sarah. The owner of "SecretGarden". I started making candles again 4 years ago and soon realised that it takes far too long to melt wax.  

So while looking out of my window watching the birds and squirrels in my source of inspiration, my nature loving overgrown herb garden and wildlife ponds I decided on a name for my new hobby "SecretGarden". 

Then 3 years later after a lot of experimenting with different waxes, watching too many tutorials and figuring out all of the legal aspects of selling candles I decided to grow it into a small business.  

My aim has always been to make artistic candles that can be made to order so that customers can choose colours, scents and make slight changes to the design but the most important thing.  They had to be unique.  

That's where my poor, hard working, book loving fella became very useful. He left Uni some years ago with a print making and art degree (please see designs page) which is very handy when designing and making moulds.  

Hence everything from this website, to the finished candle and all of the paperwork in-between is all produced by hand in our home by be me or Carl my talented mould maker.
